06/21/12 Could It Be Yandle?

File this one under the heading "not to sure," but these two tweets appeared in my Twitter feed just a few minutes apart. The first, from SportsNet's Darren Millard should be considered credible. Not so sure about the second.

If Yandle truly is in play, the Oilers would certainly be interested. He's a left handed shot, which would mean that at least one other defender currently on the roster would have to be shown the door. However, he brings everything that the Oilers are currently lacking.

Yandle has 143 points in all 246 games over the past three years (0.58 points per game), and he'll only be 26 years old at the start of next season. He's signed for four more years at a $5.25 million cap hit.

Uncertain what the Oilers would have to give up, but first overall shouldn't be in the conversation. Depending on the return, coming away from the draft with Yandle and Yakupov could be a major win.
